2016 Audi Q3 Safety and Crash Rating

The Q3 continues to rack up recognition for its superb quality and driving appeal. Just recently, we shared how the model earned top honors in a J.D. Power driver satisfaction review. Now, the model has again gone above and beyond with the 2016 Audi Q3 safety and crash rating.

The safety review was completed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, a U.S. organization that researches and rates popular models. The 2016 Audi Q3 received the highest possible ratings of "good" in all crash worthiness tests according to Audi. This has earned the newest Q3 the honor of being named a Top Safety Pick for 2015.

The Q3 received a redesign for the 2016 model year and has an aluminum hood and tailgate, in addition to a redesigned front end with new lights and grille. It also received changes to the bumper, side sills and rear lights. Helping the model to achieve the highest safety standards are front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.

The IIHS provides crash worthiness ratings in the categories of small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, head restraints and seats, and roof strength. The 2016 Q3 received a rating of "good" in all categories, but those looking for tremendous safety can also find "good" ratings throughout for the 2015 model.

Other new Audi models to earn impressive IIHS ratings include the 2016 Audi A6 and 2015 Audi Q5, which both earned the recognition of being a Top Safety Pick+ for 2015.

When you buy Audi, you know you're getting top quality. But that quality doesn't only come with the interior features. It is utilized throughout the vehicle to give you comfort and peace of mind, as exhibited by the 2016 Audi Q3 safety and crash rating.
