2017 Audi S4 Revealed at Frankfurt Auto Show to Impress With New Engine SpecsMar 14th, 2016
2017 Audi S4 Engine Specs and Release Date
Audi has put together a host of exciting things to be revealed to Audi and automotive fans alike at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. We've already talked about some of them, but as soon as we get excited about one thing, it seems Audi is already giving us something else that we just can't wait to see. This time, it is the 2017 Audi S4 engine specs and release date that have us jumping up and down.
2017 Audi S4 Engine Specs and Performance
First things first: what makes the Audi S4 different? A newly developed V6 engine is what drives this sporty model with direct injection and turbocharging. This 3.0 TFSI engine delivers 354 horsepower, which is a big boost in power compared to the 333 horsepower put out by the current model today. Drivers will also have 368.8 lb.-ft. of torque at their disposal from between 1,300 and 4,500 rpm.
With this much power, the new Audi S4 manages to make the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in only 4.7 seconds. That's fast. But the model is also incredibly fuel efficient, consuming less than 7.4 liters of precious fuel for every 100 km traveled in the NEDC cycle.
A new and fast 8-speed tiptronic transmission handles the gear changes. In addition, the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system provides that extra bit of sporty control and grip to the road's surface.
2017 Audi S4 Release Date
2017 Audi S4 interior design and featuresA new S4 Avant model is also being revealed, but we don't expect to see that model arrive on our shores. At this time, no exact release date is available, but we do expect the new S4 to be part of the 2017 model year. Should this remain true, our best guess would be that the 2017 Audi S4 would arrive sometime around mid-2016 or later.
Again, all we can do for now is speculate on a potential release date time for the new S4. We expect to receive future information about the 2017 Audi S4 engine specs and release date in the future, so stay tuned here.
