Spring is here! Where will you and your Audi be?

Ok, so hopefully by now you have been to see us and have your winter tires exchanged for all seasons, and you are ready to enjoy what those new seasons have to offer!  Living in a country as vast as Canada, there are so many areas to explore in your Audi, especially ones that may not be the obvious choice, such as Banff, Lake Louise, Waterton and the many other National Parks Canada has to offer. Although these are all stunning places and very close for day trips and Audi adventures, here are a few other suggestions should you wish to put your all seasons to work.

Winnipeg. Yes, we said Winnipeg. Although maybe not top of mind for a road trip, Whiteshell Provincial Park is cottage country for Winnipeggers. It’s just a quick 130 km drive from Manitoba’s capital, where you can camp, stay in rustic cabins or the family resort. The usual outdoor activities are up for grabs such as hiking or mountain biking, but you can also swim or scuba dive in a meteor lake, go fishing in one of the park’s 200 bodies of water or relax on one of the many beaches.

If you want to get some prairie under your wheels, Head to Saskatchewan and visit the waterfront town of Regina Beach. Saskatoon is only three hours north of Regina Beach. Saskatoon has many annual festivals so check out the city’s website before you plan your trip so you can catch their Folkfest or Jazz Festival. Moose Jaw is a small, walkable city that boasts golf courses, museums and galleries and the chance to visit Mac the Giant Moose! Once you’ve seen the sights in Moose Jaw it’s just a quick 75 km drive back to Regina where you started your journey!

Keeping close to home, you can do a full circuit of Edmonton to Drumheller, the entry way to the Canadian Badlands, one of Alberta’s most amazing and overlooked natural attractions. If you’re into archeology, this is a great spot for you as Drumheller is home to the Royal Tyrrell Museum – Canada’s only museum exclusively dedicated to paleontology. Explore a coal mine, take day trips to hiking destinations like Red Rock Coulee Natural Area or take a step back in time at the Last Chance Saloon and Rosedeer Hotel.

Heading west? Vancouver Island is full of road trip options, with amazing opportunities to get some beach time at the popular surfing destination of Tofino. The 4.5 hour drive from Victoria is well worth it to experience the magnificent low tides of the beaches, as well as see Cathedral Grove in MacMillan Provincial Park, where you can get up close to the 800 year-old, giant Douglas fir trees.
