New Entry-Level Audi TT Announced with 1.8 TFSI Engine
New Engine for Audi TT
The new Audi TT generation is going to be getting a new family member, as Audi has revealed a new engine for the Audi TT that will be available with the TT range beginning in July.
The 1.8 TFSI version is meant to be a new entry-level model for the TT Coupe and Roadster. It will deliver up to 180 horsepower with the capability of reaching 100 km/h, or 62.1 mph, in 6.9 seconds. The engine is capable of 184.4 lb.-ft. of torque. The Audi A3 already offers a 1.8 TFSI version.
The Audi TT already comes available with a 211-horsepower 2.0 TFSI and a 265-horsepower 2.0 TFSI. The benefit of a little less power, however, is the potential for an even more affordable price.
Already an affordable sports car, the new engine for the Audi TT may make it even more affordable for buyers. Audi has priced the new entry-level Audi TT 1.8 TFSI at EUR 32,100 for the Coupe and EUR 34,500 for the Roadster. Feel free to do the math to convert that to fit the currency in your home country, but it should come out to a more than reasonable price estimate.
The Audi TT is lightweight and sporty, with beautifully designed features. It has already earned awards, such as the Design Innovation of the Year and Connected Car of the Year. This is thanks in part to high-end features available with the model.
