Audi Prologue Allroad Concept to Make Debut at Shanghai Auto ShowApr 16th, 2015
Audi Prologue Allroad Features and Specs
We have seen a number of concept cars birthed into the family of Prologue concepts, such as the Prologue coupe and the Prologue Avant wagon. Making its world premier at the Shanghai Auto Show, Audi has announced some of the Audi Prologue Allroad features and specs to induct it into the family.
No doubt, the Prologue Allroad concept is designed as a vehicle capable of conquering any road, with a sleek, athletic exterior design. The Allroad comes in at 16.8 ft. and is said to be great for both everyday driving and recreation.
Many of the Allroad’s capabilities come from the equipment under the hood. This concept vehicle is powered by a V8 with twin turbochargers and an electric motor that produces a stunning 734 horsepower and 663.8 lb.-ft. of torque. The hybrid capabilities impress with 98 mpg fuel efficiency. The quattro all-wheel drive system helps to complete the all-road abilities of the Prologue Allroad.
When necessary the batteries can achieve 33.6 miles of pure electric driving. The concept model has Audi wireless charging technology, which is currently being developed for production.
The interior is just as impressive. In addition to spacious and luxurious seating, the Allroad has an innovative feature called the “butler,” which can use passenger’s smartphones to identify their individual seating and climate control preferences, and then adjust them accordingly. This intelligent software can also make suggestions for music and route planning that are based on the owner’s preferences. An Easy Slot system located in the center console can charge the phones while also connecting them to the infotainment system.
The Audi Prologue Allroad features and specs help to highlight the plug-in hybrid technology coming from Audi and show off new design DNA. When exactly we will see these innovative characteristics in new Audi models is uncertain, but continue checking back to the Audi Royal Oak blog for future updates.
